I have the original Nesika Bay Model K action made in Polusbo WA and need to replace the Striker spring. The problem is that the striker appears to be threaded on to the cocking piece with no set screws or roll pin to keep it from turning. There are flats machined on the shoulder of the striker but it will not turn easily and I don't have a way to secure the cocking piece or shroud to put more torque on the flats of the striker.
Does anyone know how to get the striker of without damaging the assembly? It may be locktited in place but before I put heat to the cocking piece I would like someone who has done this to another Nesika Bay action to advise me. I know the new Nesika actions have two set screws in the bottom of the cocking piece but mine does not as it is the original production from WA. Any help would be appreciated.
