Needed 'Smith/Machinist to make oversize pivot pin for AR15

Looking to have a front pivot pin made so I can get an exact, tight fit for my precision AR15.

Anyone got a name who might do this? It would be great if someone would make and market a .2505"-.251" pin...

Go to McMaster Carr. http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-dowel-pins/=loi7hz They have some that are .001 oversized or check if a .2505 or .251 reamer shank would help.

Yeah, I considered that route, but would like something a little bit more polished from the get go. Your post count happens to be at 1911 BTW, love my Les Baer 1911.

The dowell pins I get from them are a bunch more polished than any of my AR pins.

My Bad.
I meant in length, retention etc. not actual finish of the pin.
Are you running them thru and letting them hang over length? I thought about cutting to length and tapping each end to secure with a screw head on both sides. It’s not that I think the pin will fly out, I’m just anal like that.

I believe the are too hard to drill, tap, or cut for a circlip. You need to call them. They are very helpful.

The jp enterprise tension pins will do it.
