Need to purchase a bullet pointing system,..which one??

Which is better? I'd guess they are dead even on that score since they basicly are of an identical design which Whidden pioneered and Hoover copied. If you want pretty buy the Hoover, but results will be the same.
It's up to you.

Danny

Okay then if there both pretty much the same in quality and design the Whidden has three profiles for whatever bullet your going to tip and the Hoover has several tipping profiles so does the Hoover do a little cleaner job on a given bullet or will one of the three choices that Whidden offers do just as clean of a job (smooth contour after tipping)
I would like to order one this week. I tend to buy every tool made for a particular job, then after playing with them I find one I like much better then the rest and all the other expensive tools just sit on the shelf, that's why all the questions the last few days on several different subjects because I am running out of room for equipment and I never sell anything so it's a real waste of funds that could go to something more important. I really appreciate your patience, thoughts and suggestions, please stick with me just a little longer, thanks.
Wayne.

Did any of you guys ever find out which pointing die makes the "best looking" point... I'm also stuck between the Hoover or Whidden die... Put all personal connections aside here... It makes more scents that the Hoover may have the most going for it because of offering so many pointing tool options... What say you???

I have used both and the quality of the Hoover (materials), the number of punches, and the look on the finished bullet all goes to the Hoover. The Whidden makes more of a edge where it starts the point. The Hoover transgresses much better. I believe The guys that made the PPC were the first to play with pointing. Matt
