Need to find a Gunsmith near Oklahoma City

I recently moved up from Texas, just North of Oklahoma City and I'm in need of a Gunsmith to chamber and install some barrels. Can someone recommend a good Gunsmith around the area. Thanks for any help.

Steve is great with his custom sights that he builds for competition lead shot shooters. If he does regular CF rifle work, I would say that he would do a good job.

Mike is one of the best guys around. Dont tell him i said that or he’ll give you a “discount”

Steve rebarreled a Pre-64 M70 Winchester in .300 WM for a friend that shoots very well. I asked if he would consider rebarreling a Ruger No. 1 for a project I was working on and got a very positive reply. I had heard that in addition to regular gunsmithing services he also makes precision sights for blackpowder target shooters that are highly regarded.

Jones, OK is located a short distance NE of OKC. Since the OP is located North of OKC he may be very close by.

Lots of people can chamber a barrel, but Jon’s finish work and attention to detail are second to none I have seen. He just chambered my fifth one a couple of days ago.

I agree, Mike is great smith and heck of an instructor. I was at his shop Monday, drove 7 hours, to watch him true up my long action Remington 700. He took his time explaining every step and why. Even this old dog learned something new.
