Need Starting Spot For 300WSM

Just have enough rounds down the 30" Broughton to do a 1000yd ladder positive compensation test and was looking for some advice on a starting powder charge of H-4350 using either Mag or Standard primers & 208 A-Max's. Thanks.....

Most guys shoot around 60.5 to 62.5. Depends on barrel and freebore. I would say you are ok to start at 60 unless the freebore is real short.. Matt

You should be good. That about .040 over mine. 10 twists usually come in around 60.5 to 61.5 11 twists about 61 to 62 grains. Depends again upon barrel. There are fast ones and slow ones. I did notice The Krieger usually was a lower charge then the Broughtons. Matt

Rick, give the CCI 250's a try...215's will give you Vert.

With primers you'll have to test to know for sure. But 210m are a safe bet with h4350 & h-4831 in the 300wsm.
