Need some help with Cooper 38 in 22K hornet with 1-12 twist

I would add that I use SP primers, but a 400 should be fine.. Inside neck chamfer is important with a flat base bullet.
l always chamfer and check cases before moving on. primers l'm good with l have Rem. CCI either in SP or SR, l was also trying to find out about using Rem. 700X shot gun power for fire forming l have about 8 ponds of it out 12 can or if could even in the 22 K Hornet.

Just load it up and pull the trigger. The K hornet is not complicated like some wildcats. 500+ rounds per pound of powder, and loads of fun! As long as you don't try to make it what is is not, you will love it!

OK, l have all my new Winchester & PUP & Rim. brass fire formed l didn't lose any cases 8.5 to 9g 2400 power WSP Primers using 35g to 55g head that was given to me some pulled and new, once l kind of got it sighted in l did a clean up on clay targets that some put on the 100 yard backstop that was fun but no targets to post that will come later once l work up some loads, l picked up some Litgun power, l aim not finding good reviews with what power in the 22K Hornet but one never knows each rifle is different. Good heads are not easy to find.
So l will save the primers and power for when l have some good heads.

This could be a double post l wanted to start my own tread.

My son just picked up a Cooper 38 in 22K Hornet 24" barrel with a 1-12 twist anyone using one and would like sheer some loading data on 22k Hornet with 1-12 twist, l have books that go back to the 60s must of them show 1-16 twist and 1 or 2 for 1-14 twist.

Should l anneal the shoulder?

l have 100 Win, hornet brass new and 40 RP used that l would have to fire form, l have a bunch of heads 36g 40g 45g and some 55g that l want to use just for fire forming, l have better heads that l will use for target shooting once l have then the cases fired from.

l have been reloading since the 70s so this is not new to me but never played with 22K hornet and fire forming 22k hornet l hear a lot about split cases point me in the right direction this all l have in brass and none to be had locally.

The power that l have is 2400 - unique - little gun - Win. 748 BR and 8lbs 700X from my shotgun days that would be great if it could be used.

l'm good with primers Rem. 7-1/2 CCI SR 400 and CCI SP.

l know what to do once there are fire formed.
I own a Cooper 38 22 K-Hornet rifle. I'm shooting 40grn Nosler Varmageddon Tipped bullets with Ltl Gun Powder and Fed 205M primers. It is shooting 1/2" groups.

I have used that load in the past and it proved to be safe in W-W and Rem brass and was an accurate load, too. Since then have used Alliant 300MP @ 13.2 grs with more reliable success and frequent groups in the .2" range, about 3225fps in my rifles. This load has been pretty insensitive to rifles or brass brand.

What rifle are you using with that load? l have some Llt Gun coming in, I'm limited with what l have for the 22K Hornet l have to build up some supplies.

Components are hard to come by at this moment, l have what is needed for the 223 and 22-250 but that is not helping me with 22K Hornet.

Thanks for your replys and load tips.

Amy one useing 55g bullets? with any success? with what power.

Years ago i had a Contender K-Hornet-14". The gurus at the time told me to use H4227 & set the sizer so you could feel a very very slight resistance when chambering. This worked very well for me. I cried when someone relieved me of that pistol.
