Need Scope Base for Savage 24F

Hey Fellas, I sure could use some help finding a scope mount for an old rifle I have. This is my go-to corn field gun. I need the "side mount" scope bracket base for my Savage 24F 223/12 ga. over and under. Now before everyone tell me to just drill and tap it I'll say, this is just too nice of a gun to bugger up. I have been looking for this scope mount for a long time. If anyone has one or might know where I might find one I sure would app. it. I don't know what brand it was, B-Squared or Weaver or if it might be a factory mount.
Thanks Guys

I am not very familiar with M 24s but, numrich has several side mount scope brackets for savages...not sure if any would work. There are also a couple on ebay.

May not have what you want but has good info. They may be able to tell you who makes the mount you want. Does your gun have the dovetail on the top of the rifle barrel?

To answer your question, I have no idea who makes that mount in your picture.

However…A Savage 24F should have a rib in the top barrel that is drilled and tapped for a Weaver rail, which I’m certain you could find.

Are you planning on mounting a scope or a red dot?

I have a 24V Series D 222/20 gauge and I found a slick way to mount a red dot without the Weaver rail if you are interested.

MQ1 I know some of them had the rib but the 223/12 didn't, it used the side mount scope base. My main problem is I don't know if it was a factory mount or a commercial mount. If it was a commercial one, I don't know what brand to be looking for.

You could make one from a Weaver base and a piece of aluminum angle.......

I agree with this as well. Should be drilled in tapped already.

I have 3 Savage 24 como rifles 30wcf/20ga - 223/20ga - 22lr/20ga. Both center fire versions are drilled and tapped and have the rail installed.

If it were me and I had the OPs rifle, id wouldn't have any issues putting holes in it to make it more useful especially given the cartridge it is shooting.

I think the 24F Predator .223/12 gauge came from the factory with an entirely different scope mount than the earlier series. There is no rib on the .223 barrel…only a side mount that the OP shared in the original picture.

I agree that the OPs best path forward is to fabricate a piece of aluminum angle and drill and tap a an appropriate length Weaver mount to the top.
