Need Rangefinder comparison

Leica 1200 Rangemaster CFR

Zeiss Victory 8x26 PRF. This unit in the discription doesnt have any stated range capability. Thanks Larry in western Ky.

The Zeiss is listed as a 1200 yd rangefinder as well.

The Swarovski is a step up from both as it will range to 1600 yds if that is an advantage to you.

I just bought the Leica 900 CRF and it is all I need for sure. It is bright, clear and good at what it does -- measures your range to target. The LED sure beats the LCDs by far.

It is compact and the only negative I can see is that it is light and you have to have a steady hand -- practice.

I got it on sale for $445 at Bear Basin on the Web.

Sorry, Larry, didn't notice right away this was your post. After we discussed rangefinders via e-mail, I found that good sale at Bear Basin on the CRF 900. The Leica 1200 was still at $599. The 900 at $449 was too good to pass up. It does a nice job out to 500 and that's all I've tried so far. Have to really brace it at long range, but you warned me about that.

And, yes, I really like it ... but not as much as like that SIII 8-32 I bought from you a couple of weeks ago. I am now trying to find a little money to hit you up for an SIII 6-24 with mil-dot. Hope to chat with you again soon.
