Need Offset Scope Mount for Left Eye Use.

jonbearman

I live in new york state,how unfortunate !
So anyways he lost his sight in his right eye and I seem to remember someone with the same problem. His solution IIRC was to offset the scope to the left. I havent a clue if it is possible but he is right handed so just shooting left handed may not work out for him. Any help much appreciated.

My wife is left eye dominant and shoots right handed.
I though we could try a home made offset mount.
Didn't work out. She stuck with right eye, right hand shooting.
Maybe with no option for right eye.

There is another option that I just remembered. My friend has cut away the comb of his stock so that he can put his left eye behind the scope while shooting right handed. He shoots very well this way. It is a good thing that I checked the link. It does not take you to the specific video but rather to the videos page. The one that I was trying to link to is labeled "Shooting tips HOW you can...."

A friend at our range who is over 80 years old is a High Master in XC and has been shooting for many, many years.

He lost sight in his right eye - didn't grill him about it, but he told me it was gone.

Last time I saw him he was shooting off the bench at 100 yards, with a scope on a mount cantilevered over to the left, much like that shown in Rocketvapor's post #3, above.

He was tearing out the X ring, as usual, with an occasional 'miss' that leaked out into the 10 ring.

Will ===> way.
