Need load data for 12 bore Paradox

Now this request is about really big stuff! My step son has a 12 bore Paradox rifle. He is using 2½" brass cases and a 941 grain Fosbury bullet. It's just that he needs a source for load data. I know that this is a wee bit beyond the parameters of y'all--It's just that mayhaps someone would have an idea as to where to look.

Mayhaps you might look where the sun don't shine, y'all. If he "shoots it" with a 900 + grain bullet he perhaps has load data. Read "Shooting the British Double Rifle" or buy H&H ammo.

My first stop would be The Double Rifle Journal. Is it a cartridge or muzzle loader? If its a muzzle loader the rule of thumb is double bore diameter for a Max charge, 32cal=64g powder, and its just a guesstimate! If its a cartridge I would find the volume of the case with a seated bullet and add just enough to not have any air space between bullet and powder. You might also try and find a forum in Africa to ask that same question, you might find an old timer with experience with such matters. Hope it helps, though I have no experience with your problem, just enough with black powder to keep me out of trouble. Cream of Wheat is a great medium for checking and testing volume powder charges. Good luck.

Gentlemen, Please forgive my attempt at humor in my post. Having spent so much time in the "Oil Patch", some of their speech can inadvertently leak out. Bless your heart if I may have offended you. The gun is a W.W. Greener Martini action in 12 bore. He does have Graeme Wright's book and I will refer him to it. I went to Taylor's African Rifles and Cartridges and all he talks about is the 750 gr. Wright mentions Fosbery bullets in the 720 to 750gr. weight. Right now, I think that I will tell the boy to get a new mold. He should also slug it to get a correct diameter to size it to.
Thanks again,
Craig
