Hello all I am new to the site and some help please. I am building a 6.5x47 on my Encore frame and need reloading information please to get me started. I am building this to be a Hunting rifle first and long range fun gun second. I am wanting to shoot 140 A-Maxs out of it ideally for Deer, Antelope and possibly Elk here in Wyoming. I am curious what the COL should be and the best powder H4350, RL 17 etc. Any help would and is greatly appreciated.

TC-WY, Get yourself a hornady lock and load OAL length guage from sinclair int. pt #794-004-956sj . You can send hornady a fired case and they will drill and tap it for you . you will then have the perfect tool for finding where bullet needs to be in relation to the lands of your barrell . if you have a lath you can purchase a 5/16"-36 tpi tap and make your own modified case. varget, RL15 and H4350 seem to be the best powders for this case.
