NEED HELP WITH SAVAGE BUILD

I am converting my savage 223 11vt to a cdi bottom metal setup and have a mdt mag for 223. I installed it all but my bolt wont go back far enough to pick up the rounds. It's like the bolt guide stops it. Any ideas or fixes? Thanks guys!!

What is the inside measurement of the mag, did it come with a spacer or is it the correct length just for .223?

Shorten the bolt spacer . Larry

Shorten the gas baffle/bolt guide where it touches the bolt stop. If you examine these parts for various calibers, you will see that they vary.

Ok I see that my 308 and 223 bolts a different in that area. How do I shorten it?
