Need help with powder

Hi, I’m trying to figure out a duplicate load for some ammo that my gun likes. I pulled a couple bullets and got an average weight for the powder but I cannot figure out which powder it is. It’s for a 6 ARC, the load looks to be 30.2-30.5 grains and a 58gr vmax velocity of 3400 - 20” and 3100 - 12.5”. Pic of powder included any help would be appreciated!

Hornady will use a blend most likely, something you cannot buy in the reloading market. If you have the lot nbr for the ammo, you can call and ask, but, odds are, it is something you can't readily access. ON the 6.5CM Match ammo, they actually put the load on the box, but, it's changed since then., they use what they can get that works when necc.

I’m glad the powder that we buy doesn’t look like that.

that's Kunchinguker powder...the cheapest stuff they could blend for a result

Called Hornady a while back, like you trying to develop load for 6 ARC gas gun. Their tech said powder was probably a blend that was available the day the rounds were manufactured. Was something that was not available to the public.

Just my 2 pennies worth, I have found the Leverevolution to provide the best velocity for the 110 A tips I have just got started working on. Hope this helps someone.!

Lever shoots amazing in son's Grendel too but not at all temp stable. Like others have said, develop your own loads.

I tend to think something along the lines of Accurate 2230,Hodgdon H335 or similar ball/spherical powder would work.

Hsm, Cooper creek, Druid hill, and black hills are all making a few options now. I’m guessing these are Druid hill or Cooper creek based on the 58 and velocities.
