Hey all. New shooter here. And still learning some basic sighting in. Couple of questions. I have a Nikon p tactical .308 BDC 800 4x12x40 and recently downloaded the Nikon spot on app. Trying to sight in A 200 zero at a 100 yard range. When I put in my data and submit on the app it tells me to “set sights 2 inches high at 100 yards for a 200 yard zero”. This is where I get Confused. After making my adjustments do I put the crosshairs back on center Target or two inches high so I can zero out?
Also, if I have a 200 yard target and A 100 zero it says “set sights to shoot 4 inches low at 200 yards for a 100 yard zero”.
What does set sights high or low mean? Does that mean raise the barrel or lower the barrel? Is it opposite? Is everything above the crosshairs mean high and everything below mean low but you do the opposite?
so confused but enjoying shootign
