Need Help identifying Screw Thread Size For Weaver Side Mount Screws

I need help identifying the screw size of the Weaver Side Mounts. It is the Large Thumbscrew which attached to the plate for mounting. I figured I could ask the experts on here as I know very little of these things. Thank you for your help!!!Screw Thread Size.jpg
 
Using a micrometer , measure the thread diameter , and consult a tap / drill / threading chart . Guessing that since it appears to be a American made piece , it will probably be in the range of 28 , 32 or 36 TPI . (Threads Per Inch ) You might also check with any available Nut & Bolt House , or quality Hardware Store in your area . Find the "Old Guy" in the store . LoL .
