Need help, guidance and opions

Hi,

I am currently in the process of rebarrelling my Savage, and am in somewhat of a quandry.

From a barrell viewpoint am limited to either a Border Barrel, or a Lothar Walther. No other options available in this part of the world, given that I do not want to jump through hoops and wait 1 year+ for a US made barrel.
I would love to have inputs from those of you who have shot the Border Barrel.

The second sticky issue is caliber. I currently shoot .260 Remington, and am set up for that. However am very intrigued by the 6mm BR. 90% of my shooting is 100-300 meters, and I do not really compete.

Given the limitation to VV or Tubal powders only, and Lapua or Sierra bullets, rarely Bergers... should I take the plunge to 6BR?

You would not regret the 6BR. I am just blow away by their capabilities. I would grab a 1:10 twist LW, some Lapua 90 gr Scenars, and some VV N135 and start having fun. Are primers available in France? The are still hard to come by in the U.S.

Frank thank you for the information. I will take it.

Tiny: Yes primers, bullets, cases are all available easily in France. We dont seem to have been quite so badly hit as the US in this regard.
