Need Help for a close friend

I’ve got a close friend who is experiencing moving crosshairs. This condition has worsened and I’d like to find if there’s any help available from special glasses. Another friend said at one time he read an article regarding glasses that helped alleviate the issue.
Please PM me with thoughts
Thx

See a Opthalmologist for expert help. I am seeing one now, with curves in straight lines and dark cloud to left of center. right eye that I use for scope. The dark spot in field of view through scope is left of my center dot an almost covers the center dot. Yesterday I looked through a friend's scope and had to use left eye to see his 100 yard group on paper. I saw a Vanderbilt eye specialist Monday and she is sending me to a Retina specialist. She thinks the problem is caused by macular degeneration and the dark spot is blood. Injections into the eye to slow the bleed is what she thinks the retina guy will do.

Good luck

Retina specialist is the way to go.
3 years ago I was losing my vision having trouble seeing the crosshairs. They ended up stopping it but what was gone is gone forever but I can still see and shoot. I ended up losing parts of my vision.

My wife had the exact same condition that you described cause by bleeding. She was part of the study group at Callahan Eye Hospital at the University of Alabama Birmingham that developed the medication for eye injections. She is practically cured and still receiving the injections. This medication and is now available and approved. I’m sure the retina specialist at Vanderbilt will be well aware of this procedure. Good luck.

Tell your friend to get to a retina specialist IMMEDIATELY.

I had problems with fluid behind the retina, and the shots helped, BUT... when I went too long without a shot, I lost a bunch of rod cells, so my vision in that eye is hampered by thousands of grey spots where the cells have died. Now I have to shoot using my left eye. Difficult to learn to shot rifle left handed, and learning to shoot pistol with left eye.

Don't delay....... once a cell dies, you cant get a new one, you get a grey dot instead.
