Need Clarification

Ok I have OnTargetTDS
On the target pictured it reads

Max 0.975" 0.931 MOA
Mean 0.333" 0.318 MOA
100yd W: 0.701" H: 0.761"

Now I know Mean is the average. But the average of how many, There are 7 shots here.
Max then means what.
So the group I got is what MOA 0.318 or 0.931?

I'm happy with it, got it with the first load that I tried with that load and bullet and now to tinker with it a bit.

i believe i understand but i would be glad for someone else to chime in

Max 0.975" maximum spread in inches

0.931 MOA actual MOA remember 1 MOA is actually 1.047"

Mean 0.333" the radius of a circle through the center of your shots in INCHES

0.318 MOA the radius of a circle through the center of your shots in MOA

100yd W: 0.701" H: 0.761" width and height of your group in inches

make sure you give the program an accurate measurement to work from. i like the 1" grid sight in targets then i can put in an accurate 1" measurement.

OK thanks for explaining. I wondered about the fact that the program designer would put in the Mean or avg. MOA. What is the use for that info when actual MOA is the max or in this case .931. Is there a use for this data other than bragging rights if the person reading it has no idea?

I just started using OT also, but, I think your explanation is correct as I understand it, Richard.

<<"i like the 1" grid sight in targets then i can put in an accurate 1" measurement.">> Me too. lg

I sometimes use paper with graph lines on it, but OT has the option to measure a known lenght and input it the target for reference. I measure to 3 decimals. i.e. 8.375"
