NEED ADVICE PLEASE

Just wondering how many of you out there have had there gun’s damaged by UPS and after filing a claim with them had them denied. I got my new gun from Lenard Baity in December and the wood stock was broken and the crown of the brake was badly scared. I have photos of the case where you can see that it was dropped barrel down and it almost came out of the end of the case. They claim it was not packaged properly. I think Lenard has sent enough guns in his life to know how to properly send them. Just looking for some advice please.
Thanks

Similar experiences with UPS. Basically you need to assume any package sent by them is going to literally be tossed through the air and land on concrete. I am told that Fed/Ex Ground is much better. I always ship in a cheap plastic gun case that is then boxed up as well. Seems to work. Take them to small claims court ($10,000 is the new maximum).

Maybe a call from your attorney would help. 2nd amendment believers should not be treated as 2nd class citizens by the left. If that doesn't work, sue em as Mike said. This is Bacon Sandwich.

1st find out if it was insured and for how much. 2nd, you can not file the claim. The person who shipped it has to file the claim in your behalf. UPS & Fed Ex all run packages on conveyors with different feeds going off of the main belt for different locations. The difference between the 2 systems is that UPS lines have a 2-4 FOOT drop for the package. Fed EX does not. If you want it in pristine condition & on time -Fed Ex Air. Nothing better. UPS conveyors routinely beat up packages, they don't care or they would change the system. I've watched the packages at a Main Fed Ex hub, can't get much better.

Terry,
What you need exactly are pictures of the package & contents. Tracking number on the shipping label, name of the shipper & their account number. Shipper just needs to file a claim, it takes a while but if you're persistant, you'll get paid. Pretty standard procedure to get the run around. UPS normally has very good drivers but some of their upper management & practices leave a lot to be desired. Probably why Fed Ex eating their lunch.
