Need a NC Smith

Gentlemen, I am out of southern pines, NC. I did a forum search and a lot of the recommendations are a guys name and that’s it, no contact info.

Does anyone have a reputable Smith within an hour or so of the fort bragg area that can do a savage 110 glass bedding job in a stockade stock? Can you pm their contact info?

Thanks for your time.

Dave Tooley or Leonard Baity. They should be close to within an hours drive. Gold them and it should give contact numbers. Both have built a lot of winning rifles. Matt

Dave has moved to Oriental, and Nat does not take on any new customers as his business has changed. Sorry...

Thanks gents. I have a great Smith in my hometown in GA, but he’s been swamped too. He’s only been doing big projects (full builds, stocks, etc) as of lately. Seems to be the trend with great gunsmiths.

Clowdis Precision is in Randleman just an hour and a half from Bragg. Problem is I'm headed to New Zealand with the US Rifle Team on the 23rd. If it will wait until I get back on Feb. 6th I'll take care of the bedding job for you. References if you need them.

That’s not far at all. GPS says an 1hr 20. Could I drop it off possibly tomorrow or Friday? Or wait till the 6th?

Blair Clowdis does fine work and would be my choice given your location. He knows what it takes to make a rifle shoot and stands behind his work 100%.

go to the main page of 6mmbr or accurateshooter.com. Down the left side are numerous selections. Below all he caliber selections, there are buttons for smiths, optics, stocks etc. Just click on smiths and it will take you to the list.

Thanks! I can' believe I've never seen that.
