Need a little help. Timney replacement trigger on tang safety Ruger 77.

Got an older Ruger 77 tang safety, that I attempted to install a Timney trigger on. Took the old trigger off and installed the new one. No joy. Took it apart and re assembled it number of times, with no joy. More goal was to get a 1.5 pound trigger pull as advertised. My solution was to put the original back on at 3 pounds. Thought I could find some direction on the inter web. All I found was complaints about this model Timney trigger. Attempted to call Timney but they were not answering the phone, so suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Dust will try to get through to a tech at Timney again. Not worried about their service. Believe they may be very busy at this time.

cahunter805, never got to the point of adjusting the pull, just could not get it to function. Guess I have installed about 20 Timney triggers and modified the stock on most all of them, but never got that far with this one. Going to try again this winter. Thanks for the picture, as I am a sight learned and not good with the printed directions.

It's been several years since I messed with one, but I've always been able to adjust those factory triggers pretty well. A good stoning and polish, a little adjustment and they usually turn out really good. I believe I had used the rifle basics sears before as well with good success to drop weight. I have a 257 Roberts in the safe that I did a while back, clean crisp trigger at 3 lbs. Was over 7 when I started. My standards for a hunting rifle, 3-3.5 lbs.
