Need 7mm dakota loads guys

Hi guys does anyone have any loads for the 7mm dakota with 180s and 190s with Vihtavuori N570 starting loads?
I have loads for this with retumbo and H1000 but want to try Vh N570.
My col is 3.490" and my max load for the 180 vlds with retumbo is 76 grains. and 3100fps out of a 25" barrel.
Any ideas guys on what to start with with N570?
Thank you
Elmer

Elmer,

I'm guessing that this is a hunting rifle just going on that I've never heard of anyone using that cartridge for match shooting.
So I gotta ask.
Why the 180gr & 190gr bullet weight?
Granted, it's your rifle. Choose what you want.
I guess getting old has me shying away from more recoil. Especially when a lighter weight bullet (with less recoil) will get the job done.

At typical hunting distances (600 yards and less) I haven't seen anything that a 150-168gr bullet couldn't handle.

Just curious I guess.

Just playing round with this gun that's been sitting for a while. Yes hunting gun, and I'm planning a moose hunting so just curious about loads with n570 as it works well in my 6.5suam and 7saum.

Wonder if you could take min loads of 28 nosler as near max or medium loads for dakota? Its .186” longer at the shoulder.

Quickload has 7mm dakota case in the program. It shows 81 gr N570 as max, ~63000 psi. With berger 180 vld.
Hornady shows 74 gr n165 as max for the dakota with 175 gr bullets. quickload says 72-73 for that

Yeah, I'd love to be playing around with a 7mm Dakota also!

I'm just curious about the bullet weight.
People have been taking elk with the 7mm-08 and a 120gr NBT out to 400 yards for years.

Still maintain that a 165-168gr Accubond or Partition would be plenty for moose.
Faster, flatter and with less recoil.

Whats the case capacity of the 28 nosler as compared to the 7 Dakota?
And are there and starting loads with n570 for the 28 nosler and the 180s?
Thank you.

I see 89 gr capacity for 7 dakota. My 28 nosler measured closer to 101-102. So its a good deal more than i thought.
Berger told me 77.5 gr N570 is start load for 28 nosler 180 vld.

Lol I have it all, I have like 350 cases of normal lol and 2 or 3 barrels for it and I haven't shot it for years.
