Need 21st century priming tool help.

My 21st century priming tool will not seat my primers fully in my 221 Fireball case. I have the dial ran all the way down to zero and they still will not fully seat and they wobble when placed on a flat surface.

Any help would be appreciated.

I tried to contact 21st century but they are on vacation from May 10/th thru May 24/th.

You might have the wrong shell holder??? Or, could be the wrong seating pin???

If there's a shooting supply store near you that carries this, you might want to go there and ask to take some measurements of some of the parts to see if the internals are what they're supposed to be. This what I'd do.

I had a similar issue when I first got mine and found that I was given the wrong shell holder. The supplier quickly swapped it out for the correct one and I've been good to go since.

Take it apart. I bet you have some worn parts. A friend had the same problem and found that parts were worn to the point that he could not seat primers. Give them a call when they get back to the shop. They will replace the worn parts. Good people to deal with.

I double checked the shell holder and it calls for a #4 for the 221 FB and that's what I have.

Per your pic, the "dial" is that sleeve at the top, which screws up and down with incremental clicks (due to ball bearing and slots inside). The reference to being at "zero" is where it's screwed all the way down as far as it'll go.
Yes, on 0 is as far as it will go down and seats the primer the deepest.
I just checked the #10 shell holder for my 6BRA and the case is much tighter than when I put a case in the #4 shell holder for the 221FB, so maybe I just need a new shell holder for the 221FB.
I will check with 21st century when they come back from vacation on the 24th.

You can see the correct shell holders in the third column in this chart. You are using the 21'st Century shell holders, right?

Had the same issue after a LOT of use. This^^^^^^ was the issue. When I took it apart the contact points of the upper and lower arm were worn. They replaced the parts in short order. Great people to do business with. JME. WD

How much above the outer sleeve does the seating ram extend when the adjusting collar is screwed all the way down? And how much above flush are your primers?
