Pictured below is the issue I’m having. Brand new unsized Lapua from the box, I necked up to .30 from 6.5. Used 2 separate mandrels from 21 century. Then used the expander mandrel for the 21 century turner setup. So essentially got mandreled 3 times which I know caused a lot of turbulence. So I understand why the problem is happening, but what do I do to avoid it? Am I suppose to run an expander ball or something to straighten the neck and shoulder out before turning?
There is already a bunch I have done this way, and does not seem to affect accuracy, The gun has been very accurate. But if this not right, I want to fix it.
