Neck turning new brass

I have 200 rounds of new .308 Lapua brass I am working up should I fire form the cases in my rifle before neck turning or turn down the necks before the first firing I have conflicting answers on other forums so figured I would ask here.

What are the relative chamber and brass dimensions? I figger if there’s need to turn the necks then do so before imprinting the brass’s memory.

My thinking is that it is best to turn before sizing if you have bushing dies and conventionally sized turning mandrel. If you fire form first you either have a neck ID that doesn't fit your turning mandrel, or a neck that is only resized part of the way which will leave uneven wall thickness if you turn to the shoulder.

The question might also be answered if you tell us whether your rifle has a "CUSTOM CHAMBER" (custom built rifle) or if it is an "across the counter rifle" that has a SAMMI spec chamber. If it's new Lapua brass, it is also called "No Turn" brass for a reason. Other than turning brass to check to make sure all your brass is uniform, might save you alot of work as turning necks beyond that might not be necessary depending on the chamber size of your rifle.

I would neck turn prior to firing. New brass is fairly tight in the neck and most neck turning setups have an expander mandrel and an arbor for turning that will work with the new brass and provide a snug/slip fit of brass on the turning arbor for best results.
If you fireform first, you better have a non-bushing full length die (with expander removed) so that the full neck is sized back down and then you can use your expander and arbor for turning.
