Neck Turning Lube Which One?

When you guys turn your necks what kind of lube do you use to keep things going smooth and cool? I'm turning necks for the first time with a K&M neck turner and I was looking for the best way to get started.

Assembly lube from an auto parts store. The brand I have is reddish in color and kind'a sticky like honey. It's far better than the Imperial die was I was using before.

Try STP and Mobile 1 Synthetic oil in a 50/50 mixture. Very slick, you will need to tumble your cases after turning. I just turned 100- 6.5 x 284 cases with a K&M tool, Best tool around for the money....

Lee Lube, the stuff that comes in a white and red tube. Put some in a plastic Speer bullet box, add a little water, microwave for about 10 seconds, and stir. You want the consistency of pancake batter or thick buttermilk. Apply it with a q-tip to the turning mandrel every few cases. Works terrific. It's also water soluble and non-greasy, which means no greasy residue.

I still rely on the old tried and true Imperial Sizing Die Wax now sold under the Redding logo, it's not near as messy as most of the other stuff available......
I believe your using the best tool for the job...

Stuff I like best is ProLix Xtra-T lube. It is a highly refined lube, comes with a micro-tip applicator. It has a bit of parafin in the formulation with makes it stay where you put it. I get mine at gunshows.

There are many other outstanding lubes however--use what works best for you.
