Neck Turning and the Heat

I am neck turning some brass. Necks are starting at 0.0125 and finishing at 0.0108in with a neck that is 0.365 long. Going in slow and turning out fast.
Now here is my problem. My neck turning tool is getting HOT. Like burn my hands hot. Only did 10 pieces this morning too. Should I dunk it in water to cool it? I am using a lot of lub.

Burns your hands, that's extreme. To get heat you need a very tight fit and poor lube. You must have a very tight mandrel on your turner. I soak my mandrel with plenty of oil. Never had anything close to a heat problem. I run the expander that comes with the turner into a fired case with lube, lube the turner mandrel before each case and turn. I never measured any diameters. Does it take a lot of effort to push the turner mandrel into a case neck?
