Neck thickness question

Phil

Gold $$ Contributor
This happens to be based on a 6 Dasher case,i had to pick one to talk about.

Given that most people have a reamer ground for thier needs,i have a question about neck thickness.

Is there any benefit to having a thinner neck over a thicker neck,or vise versa?????

Phil.

Thinner is better, it stays more "pliable" for more consistent spring back. I base this on my benchrest 6PPC experience, .262" neck vs. thicker dimensions that I have tried. That has also successfully worked for my long range calibers as well. Over 50 years of shooting and reloading for me! My how time has flown 8)!
