The same as a regular round id shoot after fire forming. I use the same bushing.

We need more details... what are you fire forming for? Dasher? Using a false shoulder or not? Are you able to jam the bullets with your freebore? Etc

Larry, Your post is pretty accurate, but I like the longer heavier bullets to use the length of the neck to get more tension or hold. The longer bearing surface helps form the cases better also. Matt

Always use Fed 205`s if you can when fireforming. Much better choice.

I wouldn't waste the cream of wheat. Let alone the primer and powder. My fireform shots have been grouping sub-moa, and are just fine for squirrel shootin. jd

Some of us do, I only form 50 rounds for a rifle and that's only 50 rounds of barrel life but I'd rather not waste that on fireforming.

Yeah, I know some people say the CoW method still burns the barrel but borescopes say otherwise and I've never seen a shotgun with a burnt out throat.

I believe a shotgun has entirely different steel. I believe a lot harder. Also a very big hole to dump the burn down. Matt
