neck tension

What do you guys think is optimal amount of neck tension for accuracy in a 6 dasher and what neck sizing die would you recommend? Im thinking of a bushing die but not sure what size bushings to get. The reamer I used is a .272neck and Im using Lapua brass. Thanks in advance.

redding bushing dies work really well and make your necks very concintric. the bushing you need will be about .002" less than one of your loaded rounds. if you get a bushing thats too small you tro gets worse. hope this gets you going. ______treeman

What he said^^^

That is what I do. I can get Berger 105VLD's about 35thou in the lands before they start being shoved back in the case.

YMMV,

Thanks for the replys fella's, One question about the wilson micrometer seating die for an arbor press, Ive heard you can use them by hand? is this true, does anyone do it or recommend it?

You absolutely can run them by hand, or a plastic hammer works well.
I even seen a old guy that had a lever system built out of pieces of 2x2's.....
he loaded tons of 222's with it...
