Neck tension with slow powder

Valve spring pressure measuring tools use pounds,
I dont know. Here is a link to info. See post #6 https://www.handloadersbench.com/fo...h-com-load-data/27215-neck-tension-experiment
I have a scale..Actually a valve spring pressure tester.
goes to 500 psi
You know i could use that to measure force to seat.
and force to pull
Measure neck ID before and after.

The thread goes on about letting the test samples sit to see if neck tension increased.

I like your way of thinking, I end up teaching a lot of guys to reload, and trying to get them away from the caliper way of measuring tension is hard. It's by the feel of seating bullets.

That is good, something needs to be done about reloaders learning to reload from the claims department. I make no claims, I can not measure tension because I do not have a tension gage that measure pounds, all of my tension gages are marked off in pounds with no way to convert to tensions.

Again; there is a press that measure force in pounds, if there was such a thing as tension they would have marked the gage off in tensions. I was making interference fits and crush fits long before I started seating bullets, some of the interference fits I have made could be measured in tons and tons and tons or in thousands of pounds. And then there were fits that would come to a halt meaning it was most difficult to get them started again if I stopped to answered the phone; tension?
