Some of the folks have talked about not needing to trim their brass for "lots" of reloadings.
I got a set of Go/NoGO gauges from PT&G and reset the headspace on my Savage 6BR. When I installed it I used a case. Had to crank the barrel back about 1/8 turn. That meant it was off! :,,should have used a gauge in the first place)
That also meant that I had to bump the shoulder back on my necksized brass, that wouldn't fit the chamber and that needed trimming and measured 1.565".
After the bump the brass measured 1.560".
Maybe if I would have set it up with gauges in the first placs,I wouldn't have had so many questions in my mind about the brass.
Just goes to show you that you are never to old to learn something new!
