I just bought an RCBS neck sizing die in 7mm Rem Mag from my local store. As I started to use it yesterday I
realized that it was shaving my case necks on one side of the case. I thought that it was a bad case and so I
tried another one and it did the same thing. I striped the die apart to inspect and reclean the inside of it and I
didn't find anything that was causing the issue. Also I reset my die in the press to make sure I had done it the
correct way.
Well still shaving about 1/4 of the neck wall on the case. A sales clerk recommended using dry lube and I tried
that today and still having the same results. Not sure if I have a bad die or what's going on. I did search the
topic here and understand that most of you guys recommend FL sizing, but still want to know what is going on
with my die.
I do have a Redding FL set to try, and the brass that I am using is once fired Winchester brass that was FL
sized the first time loading.
