neck sized down too much

Some how during the seating the shoulder got push back. Now its clambering too far in and causing light primer hits. I was going to pull them. Then run them back thru and fl size. To see if I can pull the shoulder back up. I checked the size after I fl sized with a precision Mic. Any suggestions on what I. Can do. Its only 20 rounds.
I hate to throw a way the brass.

You could seat the bullets out far enough to put the cartridge back against the bolt face when locked up.Just an opinion.Do this with caution and avoid a heavy jam that could spike pressures. This is the way to refireform the brass. If you dont have the hornady tool to measure your cartridge's headspace, buy the kit at sinclairs or where ever they sell them.It comes as a kit.

As long as your not running hot loads already Jon's idea is your best and easiest fix, and having a way to measure set back isn't just a luxury it is a necessity imo!

I'm not clear on how F/L or body sizing brass that is already too short will fix the issue.
Kinda like squeezing a tube of tooth paste, it has to go somewhere when you squeeze it down...
As long as the die don't touch the shoulder your GTG..........

I guess the correct way or at least the way I was taught is to neck them up to the next caliber or use an expander then partially resize the neck to create a false shoulder with a crush fit in the chamber for fire forming.

I never used or endorsed a bullet jam as the method to establish cartridge head clearance to fire form brass.

I really don't want jam the bullet. I'm running near max load only .5 gr off. Might just to have to toss the brass. Count it as learning oops.
Thx

Pull the bullets and send it to me I can have them blown out in just a few minutes, there is nothing wrong with them that can't be fixed,...Oh by the way I have fire formed thousands of pieces of brass by jamming bullets!
