Neck size??

Hi, I am new to this informative forum and am seeking help from you all for my rebarrelling project. My rifle action is a Sako AII and barrel will be Shilen stainless steel select match 1 in 8 twist finished at 26 inches in original Sako Varmint contour. My brass is 6mm BR Norma Lapua and bullet of choice for now is the Lapua 105Gr Scener GB47. Now, I read about no turn neck is doing well and frankly like that idea, my qurry is that what excatly is the "no turn neck" neck size? For your information, my loaded no turn neck rounds, dummy) average at 0.268". My initial though was on a 0.270" neck but it seems that some guys are doing just fine with 0.271"-0.274" neck. Please advice me on which is most suitable for me. Just for the record, I do not mind turning the neck for the sack of evening out uneven spots. Kindly share your though please.

my no-turn neck will be .272 You can JUST get by with a .271 though.

if you want to turn off the high spots, a 269 may work best.

Cheers,
Jason

Nik,
You say your average neck size is .268 really what you should be doing is finding the smallest and turning them all to that then allow .002 above that for neck size in chamber.Reason being if your average is .268 there could be a number .270 or larger and if you had a .270 chamber you would certainly run into problems.
So my suggestion would be find the smallest and turn all to that and give your self .002 clearance or better some of the more experienced people on here would be able to advise on this.
