Neck Norma 260 up to 7mm-08?

Looking for some quality 7mm-08 brass. No-one has the Norma 7mm-08 but some places have the 260 in stock.

The headstamp isn't an issue, other than the length difference and a possible difference in neck thickness is there anything else to consider?

General thoughts?

Run one in the die and measure it.I dont think it will be a problem but use lube in the neck to be sure it wont crush the case when necking up.

Hi Mattri,hi Jon
Mattri,I haven't necked Norma brass up,just necked them down from 270 to 25/06,and I can't see any notable difference compared to win brass for instance, feels about the same.Make sure as Jon says,to lube them properly, but besides this,if all else is within what you expect,go for it,they'll be OK.Just make sure also not to speed things up,it's not a race, especially if you mean utmost accuracy. It helps to lube the mandrel, but then, when you're finshed, wipe all the necks from all that lube, inside and out.Just my 2 cent.

Hi Mattri,hi Jon

Sorry to learn that Mattri,if you can get your hands on Win brass in either 7/08 or 260,don't hesitate, take both....By the way,if you get accross Sellier/Bellot brass or more likely cartridges in both calibers that might suit you, take them, their brass is quite good and cheap,I use it for my 7x64 Brenneke and they're all you need.
