Neck bushing issue

Good luck on your new BR- i know i wouldnt recommend loading brass til you get the chamber but thats just me. Sure sucks to unload em all to bump that shoulder another lick on em.
That would be real Sucky!
Being new brass and have run it through the FL die, I hope its not a hard lesson and turns out to be a loose fit.

I sure have nothing against neck turning and I’m sure you benefit from anything to improve uniformity in brass preparation. I do read here a lot and also see some fine folks having great success with no turn Lapua brass in chambers fitted for it.
I have measured it, doesn't matter what brand. All inconsistent. The biggest gain in Lapua is 2 fold. Good brass and case volumes, compared to mainstream brass. The necks are still inconsistent. Peterson and Alpha are maybe a tad better. Ever notice in the sale items here....large qtys of brass and bullets being sold. Lots of these have been sorted...the good gets kept, and the flyers/foulers go bye bye. Jmo

I am not a big volume shooter like a lot of guys here. I shoot Savage target actions and just get bored with a cartridge and order in something different. I only use Lapua brass. I set the headspace to touch the go gauge. I have never had to bump the shoulder before the first firing but I have had to use an expander several times. I also learned not to buy new bushings before measuring a few loaded rounds.
