Guys,
I need to ship some ammo from GA to Oregon, It's all 17HMR, can I ship it next day or second day UPS.

I have been on the phone for over 20 mins. with UPS and have yet to talk to a live person.



What about UPS??

I'm pretty sure it needs to ship UPS ground. And BTW, if you wish to talk to a live one at UPS, whenever they give a menu, just dial 0.

Chuck - you need to go to a UPS Hub... NOT "The UPS Store"

Mark the box "ORM-D Small Arms Ammunition"

Here is the UPS Hazmat # if that is not the one you have already tried: 1-800-554-9964

You can also get a free online acct. with Fed-ex and print the shipping labels at home...then just write the above on the box and drop it at a fed-ex kinkos, fedex hub, or other place that accepts fedex.

UPS Requirements:

1. Pack ammo within a sturdy cardboard box, gross weight limit of 66 pounds.
2. Print ORM-D label, cut out and tape to a least one side of box.
3. Take package to a UPS Customer Center only - NOT at Drop-Off Box, The UPS Store, Mail Boxes etc., Sonic.

Per UPS:
UPS accepts domestic ground shipments of ammunition that have been classified by the shipper as "Cartridges, small arms", "ORM-D",Other Regulated Material). The package must be properly marked according to the requirements of Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations,49 CFR). Contact the Hazardous Material Support Center at 1-800-554-9964 for details on regulatory information.
