nd3 laser

Has anyone used the nd3 laser for hunting? want to know is it worth 300$

I have a ND3 and a ND5. I use the ND3 on my rifle and use the ND5 to do the scanning with. The ND3 has problems when cold but if you save it and use it only when you locate a coyote it works fine. I wrapped some hand warmers around it and that helped. The ND5 works better in the cold. We were hunting bobcats the other night and there was a light fog, you could see the beam travel for a mile, but it showed the haze of the fog. The darker and less fog the better if there is any moon or yard lights it affects the effectivness of the green light. Overall I think its better than a cheap night vision scope. Thats my .02

I got to play with one of these a few months ago. Didnt use it hunting but did use it to scan our fields one evening. It does make the eyes glow really bright. Pretty cool technology. I personally dont have a use for it but if you are a die hard night varmint hunter I could see it being worth the price.

The eyes I saw when I was messing with one didnt spoke them from me shining it around.
