NBRSA question

There is a NBRSA tournament coming up near me and I would like to compete, but since I've never competed before, I'm not sure if this is one I want to start with. Could someone please tell me what VFS & HTR stand for? I'm pretty sure the second one is Hunter Class, but reading the rules, I can't seem to find VFS and the type of gun I could shoot. I have a Remington 700 XCR Tactical Long Range in .223 that I like to shoot off of a bipod and rear bag. I do have a front bag to shoot from if required. A little info please.

VFS stands for Varmint For Score. With the rifle you plan on shooting it would be best to see if you can shoot factory class in either format of VFS or Hunter. Check the NBSRA websight for the director in that area of the country.

NBRSA requires sandbags front and rear. VFS is shooting a benchrest 10.5 or 13.5 lb benchrest rifle at 100 200 or 300 yards.
The Hunter class has other special requirements for the rifle.
6mm or larger, 30-30 case capacity or larger, 6x scope max, 2.25" stock width ect.
email me for more specifics.
