Billy Copelin Has Left the Range
It is with great sadness to report the passing of Billy Copelin. His health has been in decline over the past few months and he passed peacefully at home earlier this month. He had a great competitive spirit and I always enjoyed my time spent with him. Rest in peace Billy...

Almost two years ago we lost a great shooter, competitor, and all-around great man. Billy Copelin was a long time NBRSA long range shooter who won the 2009 1000 Yard Nationals (winning every category except one). Billy also held numerous long-range records and is a member of the NBRSA Long Range Hall of Fame. Billy was a life member of Upper Nisqually Sportsmen’s Club (UNSC) in Eatonville, WA. To honor Billy, shooters in Western Washington dedicated the final match of the season at UNSC in his honor. Billy’s presence will always be missed but he was with us in spirit during the match.
This is our first attempt at shooting a NBRSA 600 registered match utilizing ShotMarker Electronic Targets. Use of ETargets was approved by the NBRSA for registered LR matches (starting Jan 2023). Sacramento Valley Shooting Center (SVSC) has been the leading proponent of utilizing ETargets for registered LR matches and have been shooting registered NBRSA ETarget matches for all of 2023.
