NBRSA 600 Billy Copelin Memorial/WA ST Championship

Three years ago, we lost a great shooter, friend, and all around great gentleman. Billy Copelin was a long time NBRSA long range shooter who won the 2009 1000 Yard Nationals winning every category (except one). Billy held numerous long range records and is a distinguished member of the NBRSA Long Range Hall of Fame. Billy was a life member of Upper Nisqually Sportsmen’s Club (UNSC). When Billy shot the monthly UNSC 600 yard club matches - he would always come early and setup/shoot on Bench #7. To remember Billy, the LR shooters @ UNSC dedicate the final match of the year in his honor.

For the match, each bench has their own ShotMarker Electronic Target for the unlimited sight-in periods. We shoot paper for record targets. We tried this “hybrid” system at the NBRSA 600 Nationals, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive, so we have decided to incorporate this ‘hybrid’ system for all our NBRSA 600 matches here at UNSC.
