So, what does Camp Atterberry offer that Perry does not?
My understanding.. electronic targets..So, what does Camp Atterberry offer that Perry does not?
No CMP! For the last few years the CMP and NRA have not gotten along too well. I understand that CMP garnered all the choice dates for 2017 and left NRA with matches starting just after July 4th, which would be a travel day for us long range shooters. The move isn't final until the NRA BOD approves it which may or may not happen. If it's a better shooting experience, fine, I can live with it. Still, a ballsey move by the NRA.So, what does Camp Atterberry offer that Perry does not?
I am stunned that the @5%& CMP can get away with doing this to the shooters that they say they support.
I hope beelzelub {spelling} has a special place for the @#&5 that run the CMP.

Many of our Military installations are located on a Federal Enclave. The Federal Government has complete jurisdiction and ownership of that land. Camp Pendleton is one example. It has been a Federal Enclave since 1942. The State of California does not own that vast chunk of land. It was acquired by the Federal Government via cession.Let's never forget that the Military does not 'own' property but actually leases it from the States. When or if they depart, the property reverts back to the State. The Fed cannot sell anything they don't own. MOST Military bases are in locations that no one wanted when they were created, but now have value as the communities expanded around them. Concord Naval Weapons Depot classic. Northern California weapons/ordinance storage bunkers. When the wars on that side of the world slowly ceased, they moved everything to Seal Beach California. Investors salivated thinking they were going to move in. The city of Concord then owned the land and locked it up from developers. It sits now waiting for planned growth projects. I lived in Indiana and Atterbury is a nice range. With this money it will grow into something special.
