N565 vs 6.5 PRC

I obtained some N565 ,told to treat it like Re#26 . 140gr Nosler RDF started at 55.5 worked my way up to 56.7 . Shooting out of a Bergara Premier ridgeback ,all loads were under 3/4 MOA . 56.7 average velocity was 3,020 FPS SD of 8.3 also producing a 1/2 MOA group. Local Scheels has it at $39 bucks a lb.

I have tried R26 and H1000 in mine. R26 gives about 50fps more than the H1000 but H1000 is more accurate. You might get a can of it to compare with your N565.

What difference did you find between H1000 and N565?

I have H1000 ,but haven't tried it with 140 gr bullets . I've compared H1000 and Re#26 in my 7 WSM and Re#26 was faster pushing 162 Amax's with same powder charge .

I found R26 to give 50fps faster than H1000, which pretty much mirrors your experience.
One difference is that I'm using 150gr smk bullets.
I am looking for an accurate 2950fps load which should be a midpressure load.

On Long Range Only they have a long thread on Berger 156 and N565,H1000,and Re#26 . Getting 3,000+ with two of those powders ,24"bbls

Most of the 5xx powders are pretty high nitroglycerin content and aren’t kind to barrels.

Have you used it in any other caliber? I got 8# for 338 but wondered about 300 WinMag....or others?
