N555 or H4350 in 6.5?

Have not shot my 6.5 in a while. I run 6.5 140 Berger hybrids. Always used h4350 in the past with good results, but now that n555 has been out for a few years I was just wondering how it compared? Velocity, consistency, etc…..

My experience with the two was N555 required 2-3 more grains to achieve same velocities as H4350 using 136 Lapuas. I chose N550 for higher velocity with less powder than N555. I switched back to H4350 after N550 was exhausted bc I had a lot of H4350 and it works for my loads. Here's some sample velocity data with N555, N550 and Varget.

VV-N555 does well in my 260AI and as opposed to the H-4831 loads it seems to be about equal in charge weight.

We could give you better advice if we knew which 6.5 you have

Tested both in my 6.5 CM. Both worked well.

N555 works well in my 260 Rem, shoots pretty small with 142SMK.

I found 555 to be too bulky and slow to get enough in my 6.5. H4350 works great.

The label on a jug of N555 says it was developed specifically for the 6.5 cm.
No wonder it's a magic powder!
It even works great in a 300 WSM....
