N540 for 7mm-08

Has anyone tried n540 in 7mm08 with 140gr bullets? This is for a hunting rifle, i am using varget right now but wanted to try different powders.

I have not, however N140 is still popular in the 7-08 As a Varget alternative.

Well, shoot N540 should be a good choice...

VV says start around 39.2 and work up to 42.7 using a Nosler BT at 2.740"

Yes I was looking at it last night and it looked like a good choice I just didn't have any experience with it and wanted to know if anyone had used it and had good results. I saw it was available as of yesterday and was thinking of trying it.

Try it. You always cannot go by others experiences. They dont own YOUR RIFLE.

I just orderd some. Load development will have to wait until after hunting season. I will report what i find hopefully it will work out i would hate to waste primers if it doesn't work well.
