N140 fps 20" 75-77gr

When loading N140 or N540 for my 75gr loads, I dumped into a pan, weighed and adjusted the charge, then dumped through a funnel into the case tapping the side of the case to settle the powder as I dumped. I don't remember my charge weight, but it was around 25.0gr, and this was with powder that was bought in the early 2000s. I used it in my RRA service rifle upper with 75gr Amax and 75gr VLD and had velocities in the 2900 to 2950 range.

I never worried about crunching powder while seating the bullet. It will help prevent the bullet from getting pushed back. Turn the radio up.

Ok glad others are experiencing the same thing and still shooting well with the 24.1 n140 77 grain load

Dispense the charges for a tray of 50, and place the bullets in the case mouths. Fire up your vibratory tumbler. Hold the edge of the tray against the drum of the tumbler for a minute or so. No more powder 'crunch'
