N 135 in PPC ?

Anyone ever use N 135 in a 6ppc ? If so what was your pet load? Just looking for a cold weather powder. I've got 133 for shooting season. Found a 2 pound bottle that I had not used. Thanks

I have had no problem using N 133 in my PPC in the winter. I use it all year around and don't notice any problems with temp. That said, I don't put them in one hole at 300 yds either. I guess what I want to say is I don't have any scientific data to back up my observation concerning N 133. I am interested in others experiences with N 133 being temperature sensitive. I may need to change powders.

I've used N135 during cold weather and it works pretty well. I worked up to a near max powder weight then do one of two things, 1) increase neck tension by a thousandth or 2) change to a 7 1/2 Rem primer. Worked for me anyway. WD

I agree 135 is slow period for a br ppc rifle. There are lots of 133 you can't stuff enough in a case. And H322 is IMO the most overlooked ppc used. Works everywhere. Shows a tune. I know two n133 shooters who have convered to other powders. Not so Humid sensitive. I have shot 06,07,09 and 11 n133. I couldn't ever pucker a primer. Then again I never was ambitious enough to drop slow with a 12" 22 tube ;).. All you can do is try what you have….I just wouldn't put all my eggs in the purple powder basket ;D

I understand what works, works. However why isnt it worth trying.VV shows it in their published load data. Would it hurt to try something different if you cant find what you need.I would think fellas are looking everywhere and at any powders that are suitable to try right now.

Time and 6 PPC barrel life are both fleeting.

H322 is already proven in cold weather. Lots of good aggs have been put up with it. It just gets peaky in warm weather. Data on the PPC page off of the site home page.

Might look for LT-32. I've not shot it in cold weather, but it has been working great for a lot of this past year. Less neck tension than 133, and moderate velocity/pressure some. Data on benchrest.com.

Save the 135 for the 6 BR where it shines.

My little 6ppc likes N-133 and H-322 I shoot N-133 yr round w/68gr bergers w/ no problems.

The issue with 322 is running it at competitive velocity/pressure in the summer. You can get over pressure pretty quickly.
