Mystery Barrel blank__Can you I.D. for me?

I bought a barrel that I would told is German chrome moly possibly a Bergesa? The seller said that he had a friend who worked at Kimber that bought one of the German Proof barrels. This barrel is 27" inches long with a white sticker at one end that says "Muzzle" and it is next to a cut-off line, 1-10" 30 cal. and the barrel has a "B" in a circle on the other end. The seller said chrome moly BUT it looks stainless to me there is a fine exterior finish and in the light I can see a bluish hue reflecting off of the steel and I have not found a magnet at the house to see if it sticks.

Does anyone know who might have made this? Does a BORDER barrel mark theirs with a "B" in a circle?

The magnet will stick. 416 stainless is a magnetic steel.

I have 2 Border Barrels and it isn't one of theirs. Made one into a 223 and still have the 243 blank. IIRC it has SN, bore/groove diameter marked, twist and ??? All I know it is full of info kinda like Krieger, Oby etc. Heck yours makes Gary Schneiders and Harts markings look 'long winded'.

Bergara barrels are hit and miss, not really a top shelf tube. Most of the time they are better than factory barrels. They are made in Spain.

You should see this 7mm barrel I have. It has a 7 stamped on it and thats it.

thanks for the help___ Sounds like it will be the barrel to use for my .308 Win conversion on a Mosin OR just a heavy barrel Mosin 7.62x54r with a .308 tube.
