Myers receiver

I liked the swindlehurst design, the option of 6 or 12 o'clock firing pin, and three action screws enough to own one.

As you know, the receiver is only one part of the "puzzle".

Jack,
Just out of curiosity, which option do you prefer and why? I've heard some opinions and controversy over that issue (6 or 12) before. Thx!

I own a Stiller Loanstar and have shot my smiths Myers action. My Lonestar has a left port and I prefer it over the top load Myers action. As far as lock time goes they are both nothing more than Remington 40x action with update materials and more precise machining. I know that Stiller is no longer making the Lonestar and I don't think the Myers is being produced any longer.
Here is a picture of my Lonestar with a Lilja barrel and Stith stock.

Take a look at the following link were Jerry Stiller discusses his future plan. He is developing a new rear locking lug action and will only produce it and his Copperhead.
